David Boreanaz to star in his first feature film Angel star David Boreanaz has inked his first feature film deal, signing on to star in the Warner Bros. thriller Valentine. Directed by Jamie Blanks (Urban Legend), the film is based on a 1996 novel by Tom Savage about a college nerd victimized by a nasty practical joked played on him by four women. Ten years later, though charismatic and successful, the ex-nerd seeks revenge on his past tormentors.
The film is being produced by Dylan Sellers from a screenplay by Donna and Wayne Powers, reweritten by Aaron Harberts and Gretchen Berg. Valentine begins shooting in Vancouver in mid-July, with release targeted for Valentine's Day 2001.
Warner bros are trying to forget the last batman film "batman & robin" and want to get batman back to his dark roots and rumor has it that David Boreanaz has said he would consider playing Batman if he saw a script.
So what's Sarah up to? Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in Andrew Fleming's new film, "The It Girl" this summer.
Sarah will play the part of a plucky socialite who attemps to win the heart of New York's most eligible bachelor. "The It Girl" Began shooting directly after Buffy's fourth season completion and is expected to be released in 2001.
Sarah has also committed to star in the Lions Gate feature film "Harvard Man". Reports suggest that the filming of Buffy Season 5 may be delayed in order to give Gellar time to complete the film which is due for release next Summer.
Sarah Michelle Geller gained to awards at this years MTV Movie awards. She won best Female performance and best kiss ( with Selma Blair) for last year's "Cruel Intentions"
Sarah was voted number 3 in FHM's annual top 100 list of women. Charisma Carpenter was voted #35 and Alyson Hannigan was voted #91.
Other upcoming flicks Buffy's Marc Blucas has been cast in teen baseball movie, "Summer Catch". The film focuses on a poor young man who falls for a rich girl. He will be joined in the film by Angel's Christian Kane.
Watch out for Alyson Hannigan's performance in teen comedy, "Boys and Girl".Also be on the look out for Eliza Dushku in Cheerleader Comedy "Bring it on" and the psycological thriller "Soul Survivors".
Jeff Pruitt not returning Jeff Pruitt - stunt co-ordinator on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' - will not be returning for season 5. Though the reason for this is not clear it seems that it was not Jeff that made the decison.
Although he has wisely, refrained from naming names, he has written a parable which is available for all to read across the internet. It is easy to read and the connections to the cast and crew of Buffy within it are obvious.
Sofia Crawford ( Pruitt's fiancee and Sarah Michelle Gellar's stunt double) has since desided not to return next season. it is apparent that the pair were getting a hard time for somebody high up in the Crew.
It appears, also that the didn't get along with Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Jeff says:
" She (Sophia) has to do the fight in every stunt from beginning to end. When you see Buffy, when you see a fight scene, it's not broken up into little bits. We do it all, everything, right to the end, then we bring Sarah in and do, like, 3 close shots. One thing about Sarah is, some actors are really expressive, like alot of guys get really into it, but some girls feel they look stupid, and you have to really exagerate in a fight scene, overt act. Some times it's hard to get her to move enough so that her hair moves."
Sophia adds :
"I don't think Sarah enjoys it."
Sophia also says that around 80% of the crew are leaving the program after season 4 which has never happened before.
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. Well, this rumour's been doing the rounds for a while but it seems to have reached a climax at this stage with Prinze talking openly about their realationship and Gellar no longer intent on denying it (See interview https://eternal-flame.tripod.com/sarahtrans1.htm). There have been many theories on the subject - such as - they're lying, she's just doing it to "get back at David", they are dating, they are living together (this morsel was aquired from , not, the most reliable of sources.)
The thing is that Sarah has adamently denied the realationship for so long that people are now confused as to why she is no longer denying it.
There have been numerous public and not-so-public sightings of the pair. I have links to some of them below. Some of the pictures were taken by paparazzis of the two at Prinze's father's memorial. I don't like that fact that this happened but I am linking to them because they are available on the net and in magazines anyway but I just wanted to make it clear that I didn't take the photos and I don't know or wish to know the person that did. Freddie Prinze Jr. looks quite upset in the pictures and I feel that this was taking the thing a bit too far.
David Boreanaz and Catalina Guirado David spent two weeks in Britain over the easter and over that fourtnight he was snapped on numerous occasions with ex-TFI Friday girl Catalina G.
British Tabloid 'The Sun' reported that the two were engaged after only dating for 2 weeks, however, The Sun is not known for it's accuracy and the 'Journalist' that wrote this articale is known, on occasion, to make up stories.
The woman in question is thought to have used high-profile males in the past for publicity. She is also known for her less-than-modest photoshoots.
See David with Catalina Get a better look at Catalina (WARNING - You may see more of her than you want to) Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof It would appear that 'Buffy' star, Alyson Hannigan, is currently dating 'Angel' star Alexis Denisof. They have attended numerous social functions as a couple and Hannigan said in a recent interview that she had plans to go on holidays with her boyfriend Alexis. - Not exactly the most common of names.
Many fans are not immpressed but it is possible that they are confusing Hannigan and Denisof with their less compatible screen personas, Willow and Wesley, respectivly.

Of course there are those that, despite whatever other rumours are circulating, retain a die-hard belief that the chemistry between Buffy and Angel is more than on-screen chemistry.
Having seen some of the pictures that they present as proof, I understand how they got the notion.
Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz as Buffy and Angel respectivly, are repeatedly rumoured to be dating. Some people went so far as to say that David's wife, Ingrid, was, in fact an Alias for Gellar. Others declared that David and Sarah's off-screen realationship was the cause of Boreanaz's divorce.
Although the two fequently act quite 'lovey-dovey'- for want of a better word- in public they deny that there is anything going on between them.
Sarah has gone so far as to say that she and the other cast members found the notion laughable.
Certain individuals now entertain the belief that Sarah and David are being so openly public about realtionships with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Catalina G., respectivly, in order to make each other jealous.
On May 21st. 2000 Sarah and David B. were spotted hand in hand, kissing and giggling in the Soho kitchen and Bar on Green St., NY.
Story from a local person in the restaruant at the time who wasn't a SMG fan, but recognised her.
I'm thinking - did she recognise him? Was it David? The official story is that Sarah was in New York with Freddie.
David Boreanaz's Marraige
David Boreanaz filed for a divorce from his estranged wife last november. He had been married to Ingrid Quinn (no realation of Glenn Quinn though they are both Irish) for two years and had known her for four years.
As far as I know the divorce is yet to be finalized.
Ingrid was said to have been extremely jeaslous of her husband's realationship with his colleague - Sarah Michelle Gellar.
One story that has stood the test of time is that every time Buffy and Angel had a screen kiss David would have to buy his wife something new. (Such as an item of clothing.)
Even before there was any mention of a divorce, Ingrid - a social worker- appeared not to revel in the publicity her spouse's high profile job generated. She was seldom spotted with him at social gatherings and only one or two pictures of the coulpe together exist in the public domain.
Another rumour that was in circulation while the couple were still together was that Ingrig did not, in fact, exist. According to this story the woman in the pictures that were available was an actress, paid by David, to pose as his wife, so that he could have relative privacy with his real with - Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Though a fascinating theory, it seems more than a little far fetched. Most of the people that once believed this no longer do ever since David filed for divorce.
