Synopsis:

Angel saves Buffy from The Three - powerful armoured vamps- but is injured in the process. They seek solace at Buffy's house where he stays the night.Xander is not a happy Bunny. Next night Angel and Buffy kiss for the first time, he vamps out, she screams and Angel scrams. The Slayerettes hit the books and discover that 'Angelus'- as he was previously known, is no ordinary Vampire. At one stage in the past he was known as the 'Scourge of Europe'. Meanwhile, devious Darla sets Angel up, making Buffy believe he attacked her mother. Buffy, Angel and Darla get into some three-way fight action and Angel dusts Darla.

Review:

The first episode to give Angel a decent airing. It really firms up the character and marks the beginning of his troubled realationship with Buffy.

Points of interest:

Not only was Darla Angel's lover but she was also his sire.
